The Cuvée Ellen Syrah, named after my grandmother Ellen, has evolved into a slightly more elegant style of Syrah which is co-fermented with 5% Viognier. Intense in color and highly aromatic due to the small proportion of Viognier, it keeps the freshness and elegance that I have been looking for with this wine. While ready to drink now, I expect it to age well in the cellar for another 10 years and think it is one of my best Cuvée Ellen wines.
